Manuel Pantelias Garces

Operating Partner

Manuel serves as an Operating Partner at Valor, where he joined in 2018. He focuses on operational growth projects at portfolio companies, interim management, and technical diligence support.

Prior to joining Valor, Manuel was a Project Manager and Nuclear Engineer at Nagra, a cooperative of Swiss energy utilities responsible for constructing a nuclear repository in Switzerland. He also served as a Swiss delegate, representing Switzerland in various capacities at the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in Paris, France, and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna, Austria.

Manuel has been a Visiting Lecturer at ETH Zurich in Switzerland and a Visiting Scientist at the U.S. Department of Energy's Oak Ridge National Laboratory.

He holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Nuclear Engineering from ETH Zurich, Switzerland, and an Honors B.S. in Physics and Mathematics from the University of St Andrews, UK. He also completed his M.B.A. at the London Business School and the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
