Mark Vardaro

Senior Director

Mark serves as a Senior Director in the Valor operations group. His responsibilities include providing project management, technical consulting, and ongoing support for consolidation, operational improvements, business transformation, and Lean Six Sigma training at Valor portfolio companies.

Prior to joining Valor in 2006, Mark served as Vice President of Operations at Process-In-Focus in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He selected and led over 120 Lean Six Sigma projects across multiple industries and within transactional and non-transactional processes. Mark designed and delivered numerous leadership development, teambuilding, and process improvement training programs.

Mark received his B.A. in Finance from the University of Central Oklahoma and his M.B.A. (Honors Graduate) in International Business from Oklahoma City University. He holds various designations and certifications, including RABQSA Certified Aerospace Industry Experienced Lead Auditor; Certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt (Philips Consumer Electronics); Certified Quality Manager (ASQ); Lean Champion (Tulsa Technology Center); and Certified Strategic Planner (United States Air Force Reserve).

Mark is currently a Lt Colonel in the United States Air Force Reserve.  For over 30 years, he has worked a multitude of peacetime and wartime operations, including Aircraft Maintenance (flight line, test cell, and depot level maintenance), Inspector General (IG), Command and Control (CAT), Mobility (UDM), Exercise Evaluation Team (EET), Family Support, Process Improvement (AFSO21), and Squadron Command.

Mark has received personal recognition from three Oklahoma Governors for his long-time commitment to the Oklahoma Quality Award Foundation.
