Sean Costello joined Valor in 2018 and serves as a Vice President. His responsibilities include investment prospect generation, investment structuring and execution, and due diligence of potential investments.
Sean has over twenty years of experience as an investor, executive, and investment banker. Prior to joining Valor, Sean was Vice President of Corporate Development at Delphi Automotive. In his role at Delphi, Sean developed and implemented the company’s investment strategy to augment its advanced technology portfolio in areas such as autonomous driving, connected vehicles, and data analytics. Sean executed the acquisitions of Ottomatika, HellermannTyton, ControlTec, and Movimento. Sean also lead the company’s growth equity and venture investments in otonomo, Quanergy, and Valens Semiconductor. Prior to Delphi, Sean was a Managing Director in the Mergers & Acquisitions group of Deutsche Bank, where he advised numerous clients in completed and announced transactions, including GE Capital, General Motors, ZF, Vale, Stanley Black & Decker and Elster.
Sean holds an M.B.A. in Finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business and an A.B. with a concentration in Political Science from Colgate University.
