History

Valor’s investment professionals have a 15-year history of building dynamic businesses in partnership with proven management teams. In 1995, Antonio Gracias formed the core of the firm and began investing in and building lower middle market companies. By 1998, the senior team had grown to four professionals, adding specific expertise in management consulting, project management, and lean manufacturing. Today the Valor team consists of more than 20 professionals with dedicated teams in business development, investment analysis, human capital development, and operations.

Throughout its history, Valor has maintained its founding culture of business building. All senior professionals have run their own companies during their careers, providing rare insight into the issues facing portfolio company managers and prospective partners. This direct experience creating and running an enterprise has infused the Valor team with a deep understanding of the challenges and benefits that come from business building – creating stronger, more competitive, more profitable, and sustainable companies.
