Peter Goldman, Vice President
Mr. Goldman serves as a Vice President at Valor. Mr. Goldman has 11 years of transactional, consulting and operational experience. At Valor, Mr. Goldman is responsible for financial modeling, due diligence of potential acquisitions, industry research and active management of portfolio companies.
Prior to joining Valor in 2008, Mr. Goldman together with an operational and financial partner, acquired Pompei Restaurants in a leveraged buy-out. Subsequently, they standardized and streamlined operations which then enabled Pompei to double the number of units. Mr. Goldman sourced, negotiated and consummated the transaction for Pompei. In addition, he had responsibility for running operations for several years, as well as managing the new location openings.
From 2000 to 2004, Mr. Goldman was a consultant with McKinsey & Company. While at McKinsey, Mr. Goldman was involved with a variety of industries (including pulp & paper, financial services, health care, automotive, hospitality, food processing) and types of engagements (including purchasing, service strategy and operations, business development and growth strategies). Prior to McKinsey & Company, Mr. Goldman worked for the Zell Organization where he worked on acquisitions of real estate and real estate related operating companies. He completed over $500 million in transactions, including acquiring multi-family apartment complexes in the U.S.A., a joint venture for hotel development in Latin America and a development company focusing on industrial / warehouse space in Mexico.
Mr. Goldman holds a B.A. from Princeton University cum laude and a J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School. He is also fluent in French.
